The story of the Exonia factory began in 2003 when the founder Tiberiu Stoian noticed the opportunity to produce premium packaging in line with the new needs of producers and traders of the romanian market. We emphasize the production of BIO packaging, with respect for people and nature, currently using the top technology in the field of converting paper packaging, especially for the food and pharma industry, supplying customers such as Coca Cola, Procter & Gamble, eMag. We like challenges and we strive to find innovative solutions to produce packaging that, through distinctive elements, earns the packaged products a privileged place in the memory of the final consumers. For this reason, we are appreciated by our customers. And one more thing, in our range of products, we very rarely have to say that something cannot be done. We focus on promoting paper shopping bags and sacks, multilayer bags for the packaging of animal feed, bags for the packaging of hygienic substrates for cats, bags for the packaging of chemicals which are a nature-friendly alternative. The production capacity of paper bags and sacks in our new factory is 3.500 tons per year, over 100 million pieces. We aim to increase production capacity over the next two years over 10.000 tons per year, a project for which we have allocated a budget of over € 10 million until the end of 2024. EXONIA has signed the transaction for the acquisition of the real estate assets of the former bakery complex, previously managed by VEL PITAR. This new acquisition will allow us to transform the largest bakery complex in northeastern Romania into potentially the largest factory for biodegradable paper packaging in Eastern Europe. It is a strategic move that will expand the EXONIA group's presence in the European Union markets through the highway infrastructure connecting Iași to Western Europe. This expansion will not only increase the presence of Iași-manufactured packaging on the exclusive shelves of the United States but will also utilize the port infrastructure in Constanța. Furthermore, it will enable access, also by sea, to a market with tremendous potential for the consumption of biodegradable paper bags manufactured by EXONIA: the Middle East.
